Wages Corp. values and respects Your privacy and is committed to protecting and safeguarding Your personal information through our compliance with this privacy policy (the “Policy”). This Policy discloses the privacy practices of www.wagescorp.com (the “Website”), and the mobile and desktop application, Wages Corp ATS (the “App”) owned and operated by Wages Corp., an incorporated Company in the Province of Ontario (the “Company”). This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from You or that You may provide (the “Personal Information”) on the Website, the App, and any of its related products and services, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that Personal Information. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of Your Personal Information and how you can access and update it.


This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “You” or “Your”) and Wages Corp (the “Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”). If you are entering into this Policy on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Policy, in which case the terms “User”, “You” or “Your” shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, you must not accept this Policy and may not access and use the Website and/or App. By accessing and using the Website and/or App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.


The Policy will notify the User of the following: (a) what personally identifiable information is collected from you throughout the Website and/or App, why it is collected, how it is used and with whom it may be shared; (b) what choices are available to the User regarding the use of Your data; (c) the security procedures in place to protect the misuse of the User’s information; and (d) how the User can correct any inaccuracies in the information. 


The Company, and by extension the Website and/or App reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any given time. If the User wants to make sure that they are up to date, we advise the User to frequently visit this page. If the Company decides to utilize any personally identifiable information in any other manner than prescribed when initially collected, the User will be notified by email. 


By using this Website and/or downloadable App, and affiliated social media accounts, the User is consenting to the data collection procedures expressed in this Policy. 


AUTOMATIC COLLECTION OF INFORMATION


When You open or otherwise access the Website and/or App, servers will automatically record information that Your browser or device sends. This data may include information such as Your device’s IP address, browser type and version, operating system type and version, language preferences, or the webpage you were visiting before you came to the Website and/or App, pages of the Website and/or App that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on the Website and/or App, access times and dates, and other statistics.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION


You can access and use the Website and/or App with your personal login information, and/or  voluntarily provide us with personal information in exchange for a free resource, digital download, to be added to our email or subscriber list, or to contact us. If the User elects to “opt-in” and provides us with personal information for any of these purposes, we will collect the information provided, which may include the User’s name, email address, phone number, and the text of any messages sent to us. We will also process personal information in the form of comments, images, or videos that the User makes or shares on our blogs, social media pages, or any other online forum currently available now, or made available in the future. 


If the User elects to fill out the “contact us” portion of our Website, or provide us with any other communication data, including but not limited to that provided via email, social media messaging or posts, or text messages, the Website may collect personal information including their name, email address, phone number, the information the User shared with that social media platform, as well as the text of any message sent electronically. This data will be processed based on the Website’s legitimate interest in communicating with the User, answering any questions or concerns raised. We may also retain the aforementioned data to keep a record of any such communication.


If the User is accessing the Website and/or the Company’s email list due to their consent to be added, or due to the Website or Company’s legitimate interest in engaging in direct marketing, the Website or Company may also use User data to send targeted social media advertisements or upload User information into our social media account to create look-a-like audiences. To ensure compliance with the CAN-SPAM act, all emails from the Website or Company will clearly state the sender of the email, as well as provide instructions on how to unsubscribe from such a list or contact the Website or Company with any questions or concerns.


If the User becomes a customer by enrolling in other services offerings offered by the Company inclusive of employer of record and agent of record services, or when they knowingly provide to Us with information, including when You make a purchase or fill any forms on the Website, We will collect additional information in order to carry out and complete the purchase and sale of the goods or services as requested. When required, this information may include the following:

  • Account details (such as user name, unique user ID, password, etc.)

  • Contact information (such as email address, phone number, etc.)

The Website and/or App does not include any personally identifiable information in cookies and will not employ any other mechanisms (other than those discussed above) to capture data on our Website and/or App. The Website and/or App may use both session cookies (which expire once the User closes their browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on the User’s computer until deleted). USE AND PROCESSING OF COLLECTED INFORMATION

PAYMENT PROCESSING


In case of services requiring payment, you may need to provide Your credit card details or other payment account information, which will be used solely for processing payments. We use third-party payment processors (the “Payment Processors”) to assist us in processing Your payment information securely.


Payment Processors adhere to the latest security standards as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Sensitive and private data exchange happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures, and the Website and/or App are also in compliance with strict vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Users. We will share payment data with the Payment Processors only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing Your payments, refunding such payments, and dealing with complaints and queries related to such payments and refunds.
